Take Action

Take action to fight Global Warming in the Bay Area:

• Sign our petition asking your mayor to take immediate action against global warming by signing the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement and implementing a Climate Action Plan to reduce global warming emissions in your community.
• Join a Cool Cities Team in your city to work to have your city's mayor sign the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement and implement a Climate Action Plan to reduce global warming emissions in your community.
• Join our Global Warming and Energy Committee (GWEC) e-mail list. The GWEC meets each month and is a great way to learn more about our program, to discuss global warming and solutions, and/or to talk about your interests in volunteer work. Everyone is welcome. The meetings occur in Menlo Park from 11 AM- 1PM on the first Sunday of each month.
• Offset your global warming emissions and finance America's wind power infrastructure. Certified by Green-E, offsets are a quick and easy first step you can take to reduce global warming -- typically for about the cost of one cafe latte per week !
• Join a Climate Action Team in your city to learn how to directly reduce your global warming emissions and to work with others to reduce their emissions (coming soon)
• Request a speaker for your local group
• Volunteer to help us with office tasks, event logistics, computer tasks, etc associated with our Global Warming Program.
